Kollywood Queenbee Trisha, is all set for a red hot skimpy countdown. Yes! the charming chick is now ready to give tough competition to her ‘rival’ Nayantara, appearing in a couple of bikini scenes in the movie Sarvam, directed by Vishnuvardhan.
According to grapevine, the bikini scenes were canned recently in a Goa Beach and Trisha was seen in a thin bikini costume.
But Trisha Krishnan has strictly instructed her director not to use those scenes for the publicity of the film in the posters or in any other form.
It is her second bikini shoot after her modeling days. She has already shot in a bikini in one of her Telugu films, but later requested the director to edit them.
Remember in the past, the director of the film Aaru, Hari had given her a flimsy costume similar to a bikini for a song sequence. But Trisha had refused to wear that and later even bunked the shoot for a few days.

This could be a new war of sorts amongst the many messy battles that are currently on in the Malayalam industry. This time, it is K G George the well known film maker and chairman of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation. He came down heavily on the two superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal for bringing down the values of film making with commercial aspects.
He also added that they have an iron grip over the film industry and this has diluted the aesthetic value of the films. He has criticized them for not letting the movie takes its own shape and giving their directions to it. Wonder what both the stars have to say to this.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal - 48, completed three decades in industry and was pleasantly surprised when his friends threw a small party to celebrate the occassion.
“Believe me, I never knew that it was the same day 30 years back that I first wore the grease paint. And when it happens in the midst of people who have been with me all these years, it came as a surprise. My happiness can just be guessed,” Mohanlal told IANS.
“I feel really excited and happy with this small function at the sets today (Wednesday),” added the actor whose debut film never saw the light of day.
Mohanlal faced the camera for the first time Sep 3, 1978 for “Thiranottam”, a film which was never screened.
After that he had to wait for another two years. Then he made his mark as a villain in the mega box office hit “Manjil Virinja Pookal” and since then he has never looked back. He is reigning supreme in the Malayalam film industry along with Mammootty.
In his three decade long career, the thespian gave hits like “Nadodikkattu”, “Kireedam”, “Vanaprastham” and “Thanmatra”. His recent big hit is “Aakashagopuram”.
The actor bagged his first National Award for best actor, a special jury award, for the film “Kireedam” in 1989. Later he won National Awards for best actor for “Bharatham” (1991) and “Vanaprastham” (1999).
His film “Kaalapani”, released in 1995, won five National and seven State Awards.
“Honestly, I’m not sure how many films I have done all these years. It could be nearing 300, but I’m sorry I do not know the correct figure,” said Mohanlal.
Shaji Kailas, director of “Red Chillies”, said that it was a small function, but the “warmth and happiness we all had was unbelievable”.
“Certainly the growth of Mohanlal is a fairy tale story and he has more than proved his mettle as an actor. We are really fortunate that we have a real star amongst us and I’m hugely pleased that the celebration took place on the set of my film,” said Kailas, who was instrumental in giving Mohanlal several hit films.
The actor is currently shooting for his Japanese film “Nair San”.

South India’s highest paid actress Nayanthara Thursday filed a police complaint alleging that her rivals are circulating a fake MMS clip reportedly showing her in a compromising pose with Tamil actor Simbu, sources said.
“This is the work of rivals jealous of my fame and bankability on the eve of the August release of ‘Kuselan’ and ‘Sathyam,’ both big budget ventures,” the actress was quoted as saying.
Nayanthara was rumoured to be romantically linked Shimbu but now maintains that she has a “friendly relationship” with him, sources close to the actress said.
According to sources, the allegedly morphed clip originated in Tiruchirappalli Sunday and has been widely circulated since then.
Earlier, actresses Trisha, Jyothika and Namitha have been victims of such fake MMS clips, according to industry sources.
No arrests have been made so far, police sources added.

After his sensational debut with Katha Parayumbol (2007), one of the finest films made in Malayalam in recent times, director M. Mohanan now returns with Kudumbachitram, starring Mohanlal in the lead. Mohanan, brother-in-law of veteran Sreenivasan and a former associate of director Sathyan Anthikkad, was originally waiting quite some months for Mammootty to allot dates for Kudumbachitram, but the project was delayed due non-availablility of suitable dates. Finally, this young director chose Mohanlal for the project.
Like Katha Parayumbol, Kudumbachitram will also be a family-based subject. The script is handled by the director himself. Produced by Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachitra, who made the recent Prithviraj-starrer Thirakkatha, Kudumbachitram is expected to start rolling by the second quarter of 2009.

The long-awaited movie ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ from Kollywood’s best director Gowtham Menon has finally hits the screens. Wow! That sounds really great especially for diehard fans of Suriya and aspiring young filmmakers who inspire a lot from Gowtham Menon. So, are your expectations exceeded or duo combo fails to do it so? Uh-Huh! Let’s check this out now…
Gautham Vasudevan Menon has reveled emoting to his own live inspiration of relationships between his dad and son. In simple terms, you can ennoble ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ as a bio of an ordinary man and he hasn’t hyperbolized with stuffs of superhero tactics of a person hitting 15 men at a time. On the pars, there are certain aspects he has failed to brim up with perfection….
On the whole, Vaaranam Aayiram centers on kitschy relationships between a father-son and both of them fall in love with their respective woman, losing their love and more… Remember this! It’s not for those audiences who enter theatres to watch alike previous films of Gowtham Menon where heroes where worshiped with their vital importance….
The film opens with old-aged father Krishna (Surya) suffering from throat cancer… On the very next shot, you’ve the terrible message conveyed to his son Surya (played by Surya himself). Surya is on his mission of army across the border region of Himachal Pradesh or somewhere closer to it. It’s a silent breakdown as he starts recollecting his past days with his dad and mom (Simran). The flashback too reveals how his father fell in love and he fell in love with his girl (Sameera Reddy). Their pains on losing out for their loved ones have been precisely depicted that’ll melt everyone’s hearts.
For diehard fans of Harris Jayaraj, it’s gonna be a grand fiesta in first half, since songs dominate the show eclipsing the scenes or performance of actors. Especially, ‘Adiyae Kolludhae’ is a fantabulous number for young lads and missies. However, on the traits of gripping screenplay inclusive of more emotions and action-packed sequences like kidnap sequence; the second half offers great delight to the audiences.
So, who rules the entire show of Vaaranam Aayiram? Is it Surya or Gowtham Menon? Obviously, it’s our hero Surya who sways accordingly on his dual role. Be it the father role of son’s characterizations, he is there up with his top-notched performance. Nevertheless, Gowtham Menon should’ve bit focused on mannerisms and gestures of dad’s role played by Suriya. Certain aspects on his characterization look artificial and odder; the way he slowly utters dialogues with middle-aged looks frizzles up with annoyance. Well, nothing to blame on Surya for it for he has just performed with Director’s instructions.
Simran, Sameera Reddy or Divya: who scores the best? We have these three missies putting on their never-seen-before efforts. Gowtham Menon who usually brims up with depicting his female characterizations so powerfully lives up to our expectations. It’s a good start for Sameera Reddy as a young bubbly girl and it would have been nice, if she had focused a bit more on her performance. For a girl, who kept on playing item girl roles in Bollywood flicks, this is something really a different show or her. Great work by Divya and better she clings on to this kind of shows with good team rather than going underrated commercial movies. How about Simran? Maybe her Diwali release Sevval would have led her down dashing her hopes of comeback. But, she has to thank Gowtham Menon for offering a great role. She has done everything with decent efforts. Watch out for her emotional outburst when she informed that it’s time for her husband’s funeral procession; they are just awesome…
Though Gowtham Menon draws on with a good drama, somehow he inherits the same old clichéd masala stuffs like in Minnale. Take a glimpse through young Surya fleeting to meet Sameera Reddy in United States. It’s unimaginable as his father is dying out to make up for savings and how does his son get money to flee? Its a million dollar question and Gowtham Menon should answer this if he believes himself to be Mr. Perfectionist….
Musical score by Harris Jayaraj are off different genres; ‘Anal Melae’ is an honest classical work by Harris, while ‘Anjale’ is a soft folk kinda song where the emotional bond between a guy and his lady love is exposed. It’s a song that will go gaga with B and C centres. ‘Anjale’ song is well conceptualized on screen and director deserves a special applause for this. While for the elite groups, ‘Nenjukkul Paidhidum’ and ‘Adiyae Kolluthae’ would just transfix them. Cinematography has lots to play with psychological aspects and credits goes to Gowtham Menon and same credits for slow-cut in and fade outs of editing.
Cast & Crew:
Banner: Aascar Ravichandran
Direction: Gowtham Menon
Star-casts: Suriya, Simran, Divya, Sameera Reddy and many others.

Marvelous directorial! The picturesque locales of Prague, Austria and London as a frame and a beauteous image of melodrama make Yuvvraaj, ‘poignantly beautiful’. Precisely, the plotline seems to be clichéd and brilliant narration of Subash Ghai blended with Kabir Lal’s cinematography and A.R. Rahman’s musical score deliver with rich and relishing. Yuvvraaj is a musical story of a fragmented family of three brothers Deven Yuvvraaj (Salman Khan), Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor) and Danny (Zayed Khan) fighting and playing games with each other to inherit their father’s wealth.
Deven Yuvvraaj (Salman) and Anushka (Katrina Kaif) are in deeply love with each other and their obstruction is her father (Boman Hirani). He arranges for his daughter’s marriage with another tycoon in town of Austria. Deven Yuvvraaj born in rich family is estranged from his father….
Hearing about his father’s death, Deven fleets to London with an attempt of inheriting father’s wealth. But, then a will read by attorney and close friend of father Yuvvraaj (Mithun) reveals that the entire property has been handed in favor of elder son Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor), who posses autism. However, with both Deven and his younger brother Danny (Zayed Khan) brim up with evil acts in inheriting the wealth from their elder brother. Not alone them, the complete family members of relatives are also eyeing to grab the wealth. The most heart-melting aspect is that child-hearted Gyanesh is unaware about their cruel intentions. What follows the film in latter half are the betrayals unveiled and emotions outbreak.
It’s a complete show by Subash Ghai for his over-the-top directorial and perfect deliverance on all vistas distinctly. ‘Taal’ was something more depicting on romance and here, it’s all about a touching theme of family relations. In fact, the first half moves on with comedic moments, beauteous romance between Salman and Katrina. While, the latter half is about more brotherly love unforeseen in any Bollywood flicks.
A.R. Rahman’s musical score carries off spotlights with all songs and the astonishing background score. ‘Dil Ka Rishta’ is perfect on its notes and choreography adds more colors and placing the song in climax with reveling emotions steals the show. Kabir Lal’s eye-catching cinematography enhances musical treat rendered by Rahman. The scenic hill locations with pastures have been fantastically captured. But it’s quite disappointing why Subash preferred for passing-scenes while car driving sequences. ‘Tu Hi Meri Dost’ topped-the-charts prior to its release and visualization could have been better (lots of CGs has been inserted).
Salman Khan does justice to his role on all quotients; be it a jovial sequence or a emotional one, he emotes fabulously. Zayed Khan renders a more matured performance peaking to heights. It’s Anil Kapoor who remains under the spotlights all throughout the show and he is worthy getting ennobled as ‘geniuses’. Mithun Chakraborthy lives under the skin of his characterization though appearing on minimal role. Katrina Kaif, alluring missy with looks like Princess Diana haunts down the hearts of young lads. Vistas of romance are extraordinarily weaved between Sallu Bhai and Katrina Kaif.
On the whole, Subash Ghai revels an emotional melodrama savoring to the tastes of all audiences. ‘Yuvvraaj’ is a perfect family entertainer and watch it for a pleasant and emotional ride…Production: Muktha Arts, Eros International
Direction: Subash Ghai
Star-casts: Anil Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborthy, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and many others.
Music: A.R. Rahman
Cinematography: Kabir Lal
Verdict: Worth-watching

Kollywood’s hottest bombshell Nayantara, is in deep trouble for showing off more than wanted. She revealed her skin more in the movie Aegan was shocked when she received a court notice for it.
Kerala advocate has filed a case against Nayantara and the producer of this movie. He felt it was “unreasonably obscene” and the censor board failed to notice this issue.
Nayanthara plays a teacher and she wears a sari with a miny blouse. She was practically shown as a glam doll.
A Chennai advocate filed an obscenity case in police station and he demanded a ban on the movie for allowing children to watch it in the theatre. He also wanted the censor board to take action immediately.
Let us see what the sensor board has to decide on that one.

Lal Jose, one of the most popular among the mainstream movie directors, has bagged a script from M T Vasudevan Nair, unarguably the best scriptwriter of the country. Many including the numerouno director of Bollywood, Priyadarshan has been waiting for long for a script from M.T, but it now seems that Lal Jose has emerged the luckiest among the lot. Lal Jose has immediately fixed this as his next movie in Malayalam.
Before this movie, Lal Jose will have to complete his maiden venture in Tamil, Mazhai Vara Poguthu. He has started working for his maiden Tamil movie. The film is to be produced by Cool Productions which is famous for films like Pidichirukku and Mahesh Saranya Mattrum Palar. Lal Jose is expected to start shooting by the first week of December.
Lal Jose tried his level best to cast Dhanush in his movie, but that doesn't happen due to the lack of dates for the star. Now he will introduce two freshers, Anandaswamy and Reema in the lead roles. Mazhai Vara Poguthu will be an intense love story set in a village that is affected by water scarcity. The movie will be scripted by James Albert. However Nelai Jayantha will work on the dialogues. Vidyasagar has been appointed the music director and the film is expected to be shot in Theni.
After finishing this Tamil venture, Lal Jose will immediately start this M.T film. He will introduce few fresh talents through this movie. Suresh Kumar will be the producer of this yet to be titled project, which will not be a big budgeted movie.
With the coming together of Lal Jose with M T, everyone in Kerala will be looking forward for a movie that will be appealing both visually and thematically.

While Mammootty and Mohanlal will clash once again during Christmas at the box office, there is also a Dileep starrer in the offing plus Shafi's youthful flick Lollypop. Mammootty will have for this Christmas the bilingual Vande Matharam ,in which he co-stars with Tamil star 'Action King' Arjun and with Sneha as the heroine. Mohanlal will have for his Christmas release the Shaji Kailas-directed murder mystery Red Chillies, scripted by A.K.Sajan.
Dileep, who hasn't had a release for quite some time, will most likely have one this Christmas in the Deepu Karunakaran-directed Crazy Rascals (that seems to be the name that the makers have finalized at last, after announcing almost half-a-dozen other titles). The Shafi-directed youthful Lollypop, with Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Kunchacko Boban in lead roles, will also hit screens during Christmas and given Shafi's track record, which comprises of hits only, this film is likely to turn a hit too.

After the stupendous hit Twenty 20, both the Superstars of Mollywood, Mammootty and Mohanlal are going to act together in a single movie. This time it's not a typical masala movie like Twenty 20, but it will be a strictly offbeat subject, titled as Yugapurushan, which will be directed by R Sukumaran.
The basic theme of the film take on the lives of the greatest social reformer from Kerala, Sree Narayana Guru. The film has been in the news for the last couple of years, but was not able start it's shoot due to various reasons. Now the movie will start it shoot, calling the first shot on the first of Januray.
It was Superstar Mammooty who was supposed to do the title role of Guru, but at some point of time Mammootty withdraw from being the epic guruji and humbly told the producers that he may not be the right choice as his screen image may interfere with the icon. The crew behind this film have acccepted the term and have selected a new comer to don that role. Now Mammootty will appear as a contemporary revolutionary who lived in the times of guru and supported his ideals.
The movie will also present the historic figures like Gandhiji, Tagore, Chattambi Swamikal, Kumaranasan, T K Madhavan, Ayyankaali, and Mannathu Padmanabhan who all lived and interacted with guru, when he was vigorously fighting for his ideals. Superstar Mohanlal will appear as Swami Vivekananda in the film.
Yugapurushan will be one of the most sought after films of 2009.

After a sensational hit like ‘Dasavataram’, Kamal Hassan is taking yet another prestigious project in his own direction. The story sittings for the film are in progress for the past several months. Kamal Hassan is in search of set properties, busy in selection of locations for the past some time and he had also grew beard exclusively for the film. It is well aware that Kamal Hassan always tries to keep something special in each of his film. He keeps his image aside when it comes to acting and he lives for films alone. With ‘Marmayogi’ Kamal is planning to one step ahead and is striving hard to make it a big hit too. In the process, he made several rehearsals with the artistes who are going to play in the film in different characters. Trisha is playing one of the heroines. The film has a typical story. It will not have any specific importance to a particular character and all the roles are equally important. This great film was prepared to start rolling formally from November 10 and efforts were being made in this regard. But now it is said that the shooting of the film "marmayogi" has been stopped.... But until now the reasons for the ceasing of the film hadn't been announced. As we all know the cost of the film is 120 crores, so everyone is very eager to know about this film....Anyway now only one news is there the film Marmayogi 's shooting had stopped.
Rumours are agog that Asin would share screen space with Kamal Haasan again after 'Dasavatharam'. Sources say Asin has been assigned to do a cameo in 'Marma Yogi', to be directed and enacted by Kamal Haasan.
Kamal Haasan has managed a sitting with who's who of the film industry to be a part of the project. Shriya, Trisha, Hema Malini and Venkatesh have already agreed to do prominent roles in the film.
The buzz is, Kamal has opted for his star cast to do rehearsal in Chennai before commencing the shooting. The star cast will gather and perform a mock performance before going to the floor.
Asin is considered by Kamal Haasan as his lucky mascot.

Mohanlal had last week met Kamal Hassan in Chennai and discussed the film which will be written and directed by the master himself. What impressed Mohanlal was Kamal's narration and he also gave him a bounded script of the film. Sources close to Mohanlal confirmed that the star has in principle agreed to do the film. Another meeting will take place in Chennai next week, when others in the star cast and further technical details are wrapped up. Kamal Hassan will be the protagonist in this action adventure which will also feature Rishi Kapoor from Hindi, Venkatesh from Telugu and two Bollywood babes. The film will be shot in US and Switzerland. For Mohanlal fans it will be a treat as two of the finest actors in contemporary Indian cinema will be coming together for the first time. It sure is going to rock.
The Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has signed to do a film with Kamal Hassan titled Thalaivan Irukkiraan, for Gemini Films Circuit. This development comes after Kamal Hassan's Marmayogi was shelved.

Mohanlal's daily delight show UK. He was behaving very nasty to the audience in Bristol stage. He pushed out a guy from stage. What a shame! Some months ago Mammootty also did something like this. I didn't blame those heros. The fans should be blamed, even though these superstars show anything like this, these blind fans will never mind it and again keep them on head.

Prithvi joins Tamil hero's like Surya and Vishal to spot a six- pack. He started working on his six-pack while he was shooting for his Malayalam film Lollipop with Bhavana. Mani Ratnam had insisted that Prithvi has a six-pack in the film, where he is supposed to play Aishwarya Rai's husband who really does not love her as he is a self obsessed man. He had Thiruvananthapuram's best known trainer to chart out his workout. The actor now looks fit as a fiddle and is said to have lost 10 kilos during the last three months .He is very secretive about his new look, and has refused to show off his six pack, as "Mani sir does not like the look to go public."
Prithviraj who is playing an important role in Mani Ratnam's bilingual has worked out at a gym with a personal trainer for the last three months to get a six-pack abs for the film tentatively titled Asokavanam!

Dileep, was once considered as a sure bet at the box office, since at that time most of his films were hits. But now, the actor is going through a tough time with none of his films that got released for last one and a half year have not made it even average at the box office. His last time hit was Vinodayathra, which was released during last year's Vishu season.
For almost a year, Dileep was struggling hard to stick to his schedules. He was the man, who has to control the whole things of the AMMA's multistarrer Twenty 20, for that he has to readjust all his plans for the making of the magnum opus. In this year, we just saw Dileep in two releases, Calcutta News coming in the first months of the 2008 and then Mulla which was the last to come up from Dileep, during the last vishu season. Both the films were huge dumb at the box office.
With Twenty 20 finally getting into theatres, we will see Dileep having regular releases from now on, with at least a film per month. For Christmas, he will come up with another humorous fare Crazy Rascals directed by debutant Deepu karunakaran. By January 26 2009, Dileep will have his first film with veteran director Fazil, titled as Samuel D Moses and by the end of February, Raj Babu will release his Colours another humorous love story, set in the backdrop of Ooty. By March another film titled Passenger will make a release, which will feature Dileep in a guest role.
The Vishu offering of 2009, from Dileep will be the long pending Bodyguard directed by ace director Siddhique. So it is all good news for every Dileep fans. Let's hope these films and the coming films too become huge hits for Dileep thus making him comfortable in the industry.

It is a lighthearted comedy film with some family sentiments. Sreenivasan plays a tough and uncompromising Village Tashildar Viswanathan, who is honest and straightforward. He has a loving wife Hema being played by Suhasini and all their hopes are pinned on their son Manu played by Vineeth. The son is exactly the opposite of his father, leading to a piquant situation. "Humour is the key to the film and Sreenivasan and Vineeth between them has perfect comic timing," says V.M Vinu. The film has music by M.Jayachandran and written by Anil Pachooran. Makante Achan, is produced by Seven Arts Vijayakumar and the shoot of the film starts in Palakkad on November 10.
Nearly 30 years after Prem Nazir and Shanawaz did a film together, another father and son combination Sreenivasan and Vineeth Sreenivasan are coming together in a film titled Makante Achan, directed by V.M Vinu.

A retired Supreme Court Judge Vishvanathan (played by Madhu) returns to his Tharavadu to spend his autumn years with his family. You get a sense of deja vu thinking that there will be conspiracy and mayhem by his relatives eyeing his wealth. But there is surprise in store for us as the story moves into uncharted waters. Arun (Indrajith), one of the grandsons of the Judge is accused of killing a fellow student during a ragging incident at a medical college in Bangalore. This brings in an upright police officer in the form of Suresh Gopi .
The plot then lays the platform for the entry of the two megastars in the roles they are most loved for -- Mammootty as a very successful lawyer Ramesh Nambiar (protege of Judge Vishvanathan) and Mohanlal as another variant of the feudal Themady Devan Prathapa Varma, who stylishly folds his mundu before getting into action, though later he is seen in blazers and trousers.
It is the game of one-upmanship between the three heroes till the end when all the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place.
Dileep's role can be termed as an extended guest appearance in the second half. Jayaram too has an important cog in the narrative wheel. But we doubt whether the screen time provided to him does justice to the actor.
The comic brigade -- Innocent, Harisree Asokan, Cochin Haneefa, Kalpana, Jagadeesh, Jagthy Sreekumar, Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjaramood and Bijukuttan -- is in full force here. They make the atmosphere jovial when the going gets heavy.
The female leads except for Bhavana have very little to do in this enterprise. Gopika and Kavya Madhavan vanish from the scene very quickly.
It is disappointing to see that youngsters like Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Kunchako Boban are reduced to group dancers in Nayanthara's item number.

After a long interval from films, veteran director Fazil has decided to do make a comeback to Malayalam with a Dileep film. This is the first time Dileep has been invited to do the lead in a Fazil movie.
Curiously titled as ‘Moses.B. Samuel’, the movie will tell a rare story about a youth who leads a successful life thriving upon some small lies. Produced by Johnny Sagarika, the movie will be a comedy entertainer laced with Fazili'sh sentiments.
Fazil, who introduced many successful heroines to Mollywood, is in the lookout for a fresh face to don the female lead in the movie. Baby Nivedhitha will also do a very important character in the movie which will also feature Innocent, Jagadheesh, Harishree Ashokan and Salimkumar.

For all those who are in the view that Mammootty has been caring less for his illustrious career ,with being in silly looking films for a while ',this is a good news. His first movie with world renowned director Shaji N Karun, is shaping up well. The second schedule of this movie ‘Kuttyshranku’ was completed at Kollam and everyone including the megastar is thrilled with the experiences in the film.
Kutty Shranku's plot uses the itineraries of magical realism, to tell the life of Kutty, (the character played by Mammootty) ,through the memories of three women. The story takes place in three decades in three different islands , where kuttyshranku , a boat driver with no whereabouts ,enters into relationship with three women.
The movie has three heroines used as surrealistic impressions of the spirituality of Buddhism, interest in the art forms and other human concerns .Bengali actress Kamalinee Mukherjee, Padmapriya and Meenakumari, a Srilankan actress don the three female leads as the sister of nataka asan Pemena, a mute Kali and revamma, who is a Buddhist. The story is told through the viewpoints of these three heroines, who after the death of Kutty, remember him. Padmapriya who appears a Buddhist monk in the film is going to appear with a bald head in the third schedule of shoot.
Mammootty is working for the first time with Shaji as a director, though Shaji had worked as a cameraman in Mammootty flicks like ‘Koodevide' and 'Arappatta kettiya Gramam'. Mammootty who appears in three different get ups in the movie takes this character as a challenge and is in all praise for the director .''We have found some form of chemistry which has worked well for the film", says Mammootty . ''Shaji has a special knack in getting the best out of me and so I am working overtime, learning the steps of ‘chavittu natakam’ and even crooning a song in my own voice ''.
Mammootty also sang a ‘chavittu natakam’ based song 'Karikkutty..ente kalel' set to music by Issac Thomas Kottukappally, for the film. Shaji has already shot the visuals of this song, in the first schedule which was shot at Kumarakom.
Scripted by P F Mathews, the movie also has Sai Kumar, Siddique, Suresh Krishna, Amit, Kozhikode Sharadha, and Rajeev Kalamasserry in other important roles. The movie also is the debut venture of cinematographer Anjali Shukla, a former assistant to Santosh Sivan. Anjali's camera is said to be one of the highlights of ‘Kutty Shranku’ which is being shot utilizing the different climatic ambiance of the state.
‘Kutty Shranku’ produced by reliance entertainments in the banner of Big Pictures will be aiming for international accolades, rightly so from a crew that is well experienced in the making of master creations and one that had been always showered with awards in the past. With the teaming up of a great director, lead actors and the supporting cast , the movie is expected to end up as a great work, which will be always remembered as a classic.

Hitmaker Shafi, fresh from his last years super hits 'Mayavi’ and 'Chocolate' is back, with another movie with a big young cast. Apart from his hit leads of ‘Chocolate' - Prithviraj and Jayasuriya, Shafi is also bringing back the romantic hero 'Kunchakko Boban ' back to tinsel town with this movie tiled 'Lolipop'.
The movie has Prithviraj as Franco, who runs an automobile workshop at Fort Kochi. He is a freaky youth who takes all strides to enjoy the life to its fullest. He shares a special bonding with his only sister Jennifer, who are more like friends .Franco and Jennifer have lost their parents at very younger stages of their life, and to avoid being left lonely at any further stage of their life, they have even decided to find their match in life, only after mutual approval .
Kunchakko Boban plays Aby, a junior Doctor of the hospital near Franko's workshop. Jayasuriya is Francis, a mechanic at Franco's workshop. He was an expert in pick pocketing and fraudulent ways, till he met Franco. But now Francis, called as Panchy is a different man with all good maneuvers.

All the party gets spoiled when Franco falls in love with Rosebella (Bhavana). Franco fears that since he couldn't keep his word with his sister, she may object to his relationship. But Franco doesn’t realize that Jennifer is already in similar dilemmas as she got attracted to Dr.Aby.
Rajan P Dev plays Rosebella`s dad, Chandikunju, who runs a finance company. Though he is having a worse relationship with Dr. Aby`s dad, who was his former partner, both Rosebella and Aby are thick friends, who never care about their parent's fight. Knowing Franco's new relationship with Rosebella, Jennifer’s starts hating Rosebella. This affects Franco a lot, who tries all the ways to get the approval from his sister, which leads to a lot of interesting sequences. ‘Lolipop’ is thus a celebration of brotherhood, friendship and love, told in the scripts of hit scriptwriter Benny P Nayarambalam.
Roma plays Jennifar while Bhavana is Rosebella. And the regulars in Shafi films like Salimkumar and Suraj have got brilliant roles in ‘Lolipop’, as well. Salimkumar is Fr. Kuriakose, who is not just a priest but also a lawyer popularly called as ‘Vakkilachan'. Suraj plays Jabbar, a worker in Franco's workshop who is still ailing in the loss of his lover, who got married to his elder brother.
'Lolipop' is produced by A B S combines, the new banner formed by the three big hit names of Mollywood-Producer Anto Joseph, scriptwriter Benny P Nayarambalam, and the director Shafi. And so we can rightly expect that they have saved the best for their debut venture as producers. The movie cinematographed by Azhagappan, will have the music by Alex Paul. The movie will be a big release for this Christmas.
